Seeking Submissions: The Journal of Food Law & Policy
The Journal of Food Law & Policy at the University of Arkansas School of Law is the first student-edited legal journal in the country devoted to the study of food law and its impact on society. The inaugural issue of the Journal was published in July 2005 and features several prestigious authors, including renowned food law expert, Peter Barton Hutt and internationally recognized agricultural law scholar, Neil Hamilton.
The Journal is published twice a year and is edited by an Editorial Board comprised of some of the top students at the University of Arkansas School of Law.
While submissions via ExpressO are strongly preferred, the Journal of Food Law & Policy will continue to accept email submissions at foodlaw@uark.edu. Alternatively, a hard copy may be submitted to:
Jeanie S. Callicott, Editor-in-Chief
Journal of Food Law & Policy
Law Programs Center
1 University of Arkansas
University of Arkansas School of Law
Fayetteville, AR 72701
Submitted manuscripts should be triple-spaced on letter-sized paper. Footnotes rather than endnotes should be used and should be double-spaced. Footnotes should conform to the 18th edition of The Bluebook. An accompanying cover letter and curriculum vitae are strongly preferred; in lieu of these, a brief biographical statement is acceptable. Authors will be notified of the Journal's decisions on submission by email.

Dear food law colleagues,
I am pleased to invite you to the 1st EFFL Summer Academy in Food Law &
Policy. The academy will be held on 20-24 July at the beautiful XVII
century Masseria Chiancone, a farmhouse immersed in an oasis of natural
beauty, typically Mediterranean, along the cost of Puglia, Italy
(http://www.masseriachiancone.it/).
The academy will offer scientific reflection and discourse on key legal
and policy issues in European and World food law by following an
innovative and interdisciplinary approach. This will be achieved through
a dynamic, informal and highly interactive five-day programme, which
includes lectures, presentations, discussion groups and social
activities. The faculty of the academy consists of food experts coming
from relevant authorities, European and US institutions and agencies,
academia, industry and legal practice. Scholarships will be available.
To know more, please check at: http://www.lexxion.eu/conferences/effl09
I look forward to seeing some of you in beautiful Apulia this summer!
